Vertical Shaft Kiln for Magnesite & Magnesium Oxide Sintering by Shijiazhuang Hongtao Technology
Shijiazhuang Hongtao Technology Co., Ltd. supplies professional vertical shaft kilns (also known as tower or shaft kilns) designed for the high-temperature calcination and sintering of magnesite (magnesium carbonate ore) and magnesium oxide. This equipment is a core solution for producing both light-burned magnesia (caustic calcined magnesia) and dead-burned magnesia (DBM) used in refractory materials, fertilizers, and chemical industries.
The kiln operates on a continuous counter-current principle: raw crushed stone is fed from the top, moves downward by gravity through preheating, calcination, and cooling zones, and is discharged at the bottom. Key features include:
-
High Thermal Efficiency: Waste heat from the cooling zone preheats combustion air, significantly reducing fuel consumption (adaptable to coal, gas, or oil).
-
Uniform Sintering: Multi-layer distributive feeding and optimized burner arrangements ensure stable high temperatures (up to 1800°C+ for DBM) and uniform crystal growth.
-
Robust Structure: Built with a steel shell and high-quality refractory linings (magnesia/alumina bricks) to withstand harsh high-temperature erosion.
-
Automated Control: Equipped with PLC systems for precise temperature zoning, material level detection, and continuous discharge speed adjustment.
Hongtao’s vertical shaft kiln offers a compact footprint, lower capital investment compared to rotary kilns, and reliable performance for medium-to-large scale magnesite processing plants aiming for high product activity and density.
